The appearance is mix of amber and orange with no head. Flavor is tart like a bottle of pure cherry juice. Tart puckering start with a bubbly sour finish. Very tart and dry, hard to find the fruit with the tart and sour. tjthresh (1765), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2008 750 ml bottle from Capone’s. Served in a flute. Pours copper amber orange with not much heat at all. The nose smells like raspberry jam with some cherry pits and stems. The lambic character takes over any impression of fruit that may be here. Sure I get a bit, but it is very tart and lactic yogurt flavored. Medium body with high carbonation. Very dry finish. Not really one of my favorite lamics, but still tasty. Dry without being sweet, tart and somewhat puckering, cheesy and leathery. All good stuff in this. tarjei (1745), Bryne, Norway

(3+) Light musty funk introduces a good amount of rich raspberry aroma. (8+) Flavour is cheek tuggingly sour at first but the tongue quickly acclimatizes, remains quite sour throughout but allows the fruit to come out nicely. Tart-sour raspberries. (7+) Palate is zippy, average plus body - its not superb for my own preferences, but it is spot on for the beer. Pretty awesome, many thanks to those who brought this, it was one of my few ’must tries’ that I did not find on my trip to Belgium. Quite good. Bottle, Post-Mondial Tasting, Montreal

Red grapefruit in color with a quickly fading pastel pink head. Smell is a hint funky with a touch of ammonia in there with a hefty amount of fruit. Very tart flavor of berries and cherries. Nice, enjoyable and sour. Palate is fitting and not too thin. Overall, a good brew and an enjoyable fruity beer. michael-pollack (2652), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2008 750ml Bottle: Sour, acidic aroma of raspberries, and a little bit of chemicals. Poured dark red (raspberry red or blood red) in color with a medium-sized pink head that diminished rather quickly. Opaque. Cloudy. Flavor is medium sweet, lightly sour, and very acidic. Tastes of raspberries, oak, and a little bit of cherries. Medium body. Tingly texture. Lively carbonation. Raspberry and acid finish. Good, but not sure why it cost me $38 for the bottle.
