Slight mercury-red hue, with a pinkyish-white head, but falls quickly, nice barnyard, musty, wet oaky, fruity nose of faint winey, acidic raspberries and cherries tartness, with a leathery, horseblanket funkiness, with some hints of sour rhubarb, and lactose in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a very nice wild yeast, brett funkiness, acidic, tart, fruity sourness character, of delicate raspberry and cherry mustiness, with some tannic notes of cherrystone, with a good carbonation, the mouthfeel seems less dry, than a cantillon rosé de gambrinus, but leading towards a fruity, acidic, raspberry tartness, sharp finish.

2007 sampled at Delirium Café: Very pungent barnyard aroma, lots of funk, and very rustic aromas. Poured a beautiful red color with a pink head. Flavor is pretty raw since this was a fresh bottle. Flavors were pretty goaty, with some fruit and loads of sourness., extremely sour, and dry. It seemed like time would do this one well to round out the flavors a bit more. Mouth feel is light with natural carbonation. Still really good,.

Shared with my brother, black95tt. Poured a very nice reddish pink color that after a while ended up turning into a reddish brown haze. With a swirl or two of the snifter a nice pinkish off white head formed on top of the glass. The aroma was very very funky, molded cheeses, leather, and horseblanket. Really quite the meld of lambic aromas that kinda took me off guard. I wasnt really quite sure what to make of it. Carbonation is spot on with this brew, and a very nice compliment to this beer...the palate is very nice. The flavor had a nice meld of the cherries and raspberries mixed with lots of funkiness. Some wood apparent in the flavor with a very very tart finish. A good brew, but I am not quite sure I could drink many glasses of this in a row.

Bottle thanks to wetherel: Pours a hazy ruby amber with a thin ring of wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and big sweaty leathery funky tart fruity rasperries. Body starts slightly oily and earthy sweet with nice tart fruity complexity and oaky balance. Finishes leathery and tart with mild sweetness. A nice fruit lambic.

Plastic cork
Cloudy ruby color, no head. Strong aroma, Morello cherries, raspberries (well mature), then the classic cellar touch; some plastic too; everlasting aroma. Medium sourness, astringent mouthfeel, with a mix of every citrus fruit, lemon and grapefruit winning on the others for the sourness, somehow a very light sweetness too; fruity (mainly raspberries and pink grapefruit) and balanced, perfect. Long final, with a touch of woody astringency too. Great.

Brilliant aroma--sour, like parmesan on potatoes, and like licking Chewbacca’s armpits. Flavor might have been less than perfect due to the finish, like a fragrant candle, but the delight here is the sour finish, classic to the style, and about which I’ll make no complaints. Yum!

Bottle at home - club tasting. Cloudy deep reddish - white head. Raspberries, light cherry, strawberries, light sourish, light light earthy, sweetness, lovely berries. Low carbonation. Light & thin body. Dry finish.

Thanks Sliffy. Nice sour cherry aroma, not over the top, but balanced nicely with a hint of oak. Red body with a thin head. The palate is spot on with perfect carbonation. Perfect sourness level in the taste. Mostly cherries for me, even though there are more raspberries in this. Hard to find many faults with this brew.
