Hedonically nearly perfect. The aroma is perfectly balanced between real fresh fruit, and framboise. By this I mean the raspberry is so real it transcends the lambicness at times, then just melds with it. A stony, pitty aroma presence, minerally at times, runs around in waves. The color is incredibly gorgeous, with the hints of tan increasing thoughts of leather in the horse barn. Flavors are somewhat acetic, somewhat lactic, sweet and sour and leathery. Incredible back of the throat sourness. Palate lets down just the tiniest bit; first brawny and slippery and thick, then with the feeling of a slight watery hole. A truly great beer. Thanks John.

Bottle at EBF08. Good citric fruit, berry aroma. Deep red colour. The flavour is citric but mild, rounded off by the fruit. Very nice. 9 3 9 4 19

Bottle at LCRBM08. Good citric aroma. Good citric flavour, some fruit. Cloudy dark red colour. Hint of funk, but still good. Very citric. 8 3 8 3 18

Deep red in colour with just a bit of brown thrown in, very thin white coloured head that left no lacing. The aroma is of light cherries, lots of tart raspberries, lightly acidic, some oak, sour. The flavour is very tart to start, dries out then gets a bit sweet, lots of tart raspberries throughout this, sour, some grapes. Tart mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long with some sweetness but then the tart raspberries take over.

A wonderful fruit lambic. Great sourness and tartness throughout this. I see this one aging very well.

750ml bottle obtained in a trade with henrikb, thanks Henrik.

750ml bottle purchased at Ebenezer’s. Poured a bright reddish amber in color with a small pink head. Aroma is very tart with berries, brett, oak, and funky. Taste is extremely tart. Flavors of sour cherries, raspberries, oak, barnyard funk. Finish is dry, and very nice. I really enjoyed this one.

750ml, thanks cmubeerman - dated Feb., 14th, 2007. Cloudy pink color with a pinkish head. Aroma is awesome. Super sour and tart, light berry notes, musty, woody, wet hay/wool. Flavor of sweet tarts and sour cherries and raspberries. Finish is almost painful and lemony. Light drinking and superb.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle thanks to the amazing generosity of Glouglouburp!. Cloudy deep ruby pour with an average-sized frothy head and thick strands of lacing (I drooled looking at it, that’s a 5!). Yummy aroma - look, I don’t have the words to adequately describe this beer, so: sour-lemon-heavy yeast-burnt rubber-sour green fruit .... you know; GOOD! The taste followed right on - more fruit, more funk, dry, pungent, sour - I wanted to just drink it all myself, such a great Lambic. Thick bodied, hugely acidic but still the fruit character held its own - one of the best fruit sours I’ve ever had. Thanks again, Dany!
