Courtesy dsnowden. Pours a dense, cloudy, star ruby grapefruit body. A fizzy head quickly dissipates almost completely. The aroma is like a fresh fruit garden. Raspberries, strawberries, cherries and blackberries exude freshness, while moderately funky barnyard scents let you know this thing means business. The flavor is sweeter than I was expecting, no doubt the result of the high fruit content. Still, ample Drie Fonteinen sour funkiness is on full display, even if a bit less potent than usual. The body is very lightly syrupy, with moderate liveliness. Finishes mostly dry and sour, with excellent concentrated fruit flavors. The fruit really is the star of the show here. Excellent brew.

750ml, bottle dated 2/14/07. strange how life in belgium works, last night i finally got to try 3 Fonteinen Framboos at the Kulminator and today I received this bottle from Armand at the 3 Fonteinen gift shop. pours deep, blood red, dense with pink head around the ring. this is really quite a looker. nose is extremely raw and earthy raspberries, wow, nose is so rich, and lucious. flavor is surprisingly raw and earthly raspberries that never really get that tart or too sweet. I’ve never tasted raspberry flavor like this in a beer. it’s really awesome. carbonation and acidity are low. mouth feel is full and palate is very long. i’m really in love with this beer. it’s so drinkable, the fruit is perfect, complex and unique, and it’s nice and tart and sour but isn’t over-done and allows the fruit to remain the focus. the palate didn’t seem long enough for how intense the fruit flavor initially was. however, this is really easy to drink and fun too.

Many thanks to hellomynameis for this great treat. Massive sour barnyard funk with excellent lactic character. Faint cherry and raspberry flavor. Wow. Lactic flavor with some funk. Amazing beer. Reminds me of a wisconsin spring. Ok, end wine pretense. My second tasting of this was better than I remembered it. Bottled at Falling Rock. The as tart and refreshing as I remember, but the cherry really smoothed out the finish.

Bottled. Hazy and deep red in colour with a medium sized pink head. Quite fruity with notes of raspberries, strawberries, cherries, earthy moldness - lightly sour and hints of vinegar. Good.
