Dark red pour and just a faint set of tiny bubles appear. Aroma is fresh ripe raspberries and cherries. Taste is dry with the essential gueze like dry funk taste. Cherry and raspberry rides along but does not blast you with sourness. Aftertaste has a lingering sharpness with more of the gueze like funk. Very hard to describe. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Red grapefruit in color with a quickly fading pastel pink head. Smell is a hint funky with a touch of ammonia in there with a hefty amount of fruit. Very tart flavor of berries and cherries. Nice, enjoyable and sour. Palate is fitting and not too thin. Overall, a good brew and an enjoyable fruity beer. frylock (1026), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Bottle courtesy of rudolf: Magenta colored body topped by a thin white head. Great aroma that is full of raspberries, dusty earthiness and barnyard notes. Nicely balanced sourness. Bright raspberry flavors with just a touch of sweetness and faint oak flavors. Excellent. kkearn (1011), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Updated: Dec 27, 2008Bottle, sampled at Tria Fermentation school on 3/15/08. Pours hazy red-purple, with a moderate-sized pink head. Intense raspberry aroma, with hints of leather, sour cherry, and wild yeast. Moderate lactic flavor is nicely complimented by raspberry. Wild yeast, cherry pie flavor and oaky notes add to the complexity. The raspberry works exceedingly well in this lambic; when it hit my palate it tasted and felt like i was eating fresh raspberries. This was definitely the highlight of the evening for me. I can’t wait to try this again! sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2008 Bottle gift from Stegosaurus. Ok, I can’t stand lambics I don’t want to harshly judge it but it’s not for me. Murky red pink pour with an overly sweet/ vinegar aroma. Extremely sour to taste. I did not enjoy this that much but I will not trash it just because I do not like the style.
RE-RATE
Ok the more I drank the bottle and my palate got used to it the more I liked it. ajm (949), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Bottle from Belmont Station. Color is a darker pink with a bright cream head - fades fast. The star of the show is the aroma, which features a moldy berry nasty funk that could just stop a car. I find both flavor and aroma to be lacking in fruit, which is really only noticeable because of the fruit levels achieved in Schaerbaekse Kriek.
