Thanks to beastiefan2K for bringing this treat. Poured a slightly hazy red color with a thin off-white head. The aroma...perfect! Tart with big leathery notes, horsey, fruity, woody and metallic like wet pennies. Complex and so nice to sniff. The flavor was mildly tart with a cherry finish. Mildly acidic. The body was light and the finish was dry leaving just a little acidity behind.

Sampled at MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering in Maplewood, MN and supplied by hellomynameis. From a 750 ml bottle pours a reddish amber brew with a fizzy pinkish head that really sticks around. Aroma of tart berries, strong yeast and with barnyard funk pungent. Taste is sour cranberry, quite sprittzy with additional flavors of tart raspberries, yeast and mallberries. Finish is very fizzy, with a sour berry and yeast aftertaste that really lingera round.

Pours candy pink, with pinkish-white cloudy big head. Smells funky, alcohol though low, penetrates the nose. Great mouthfeel, raspberries lambic bullseyes the style. Satisfying aftertaste. Oh so drinkable.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle thanks to the amazing generosity of Glouglouburp!. Cloudy deep ruby pour with an average-sized frothy head and thick strands of lacing (I drooled looking at it, that’s a 5!). Yummy aroma - look, I don’t have the words to adequately describe this beer, so: sour-lemon-heavy yeast-burnt rubber-sour green fruit .... you know; GOOD! The taste followed right on - more fruit, more funk, dry, pungent, sour - I wanted to just drink it all myself, such a great Lambic. Thick bodied, hugely acidic but still the fruit character held its own - one of the best fruit sours I’ve ever had. Thanks again, Dany!

2008-05-31. hazy red body, modest white-pink head. (3+) Light musty funk introduces a good amount of rich raspberry aroma. (8+) Flavour is cheek tuggingly sour at first but the tongue quickly acclimatizes, remains quite sour throughout but allows the fruit to come out nicely. Tart-sour raspberries. (7+) Palate is zippy, average plus body - its not superb for my own preferences, but it is spot on for the beer. Pretty awesome, many thanks to those who brought this, it was one of my few ’must tries’ that I did not find on my trip to Belgium. Quite good. Bottle, Post-Mondial Tasting, Montreal

Bottle. [Courtesy of Ungstrup, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Large creamy almost reddish looking head. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy reddish color. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, hors blanket, wood, leather, raspberries and fruit. Full bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated acidic and sweet flavor with what appeared to be salty notes as well. Sour fresh fruity finish. 28-09-2007
