Bottled feb 07. Pinkish red color, just a small rim of foam. Oak and almonds with raspberry shimmering through in the aroma. Very complex flavor. Raspberry, lime, cherry pits, almond, oak, honey, some smokey notes even. Absolutely dry with a firm, but not outrageous sourness. Medium bodied. Raspberry, dust and cherry pits in the aftertaste. Great beer, but IMO not the very best 3F can offer. @ the LCRBM 2008 a sample showed that this beer has matured very well.

Pours candy pink, with pinkish-white cloudy big head. Smells funky, alcohol though low, penetrates the nose. Great mouthfeel, raspberries lambic bullseyes the style. Satisfying aftertaste. Oh so drinkable.

"The Funk Runs Deep" was the quote put forth to describe this beer. Nicely tart, but the action really came through on the funky character of this beer. Really nice. Great composition of fruit lustrous aromas and Thanks to DA for dropping some cash and bringing it to share. Defiantly worth sharing at a tasting.

Bottle, Many thanks to Cgarvieuk aka Craig forgiving me this beer Pours the colour of a sightly watered down blood topped off by a rapidly dimnishing pink head. Sour and tart aroma with berries noticeable, Loz picked out the cherries as well I’m afraid I couldn’t detect them. Refreshing zippy tartness in the mouth lovely sourness, nice carbonation, at times the sweetness that comes through (only a little) tastes a little strawberry like. Nice softness round the edges to this, I’m drinking a 750ml bottle to myself and its quite moreish.

Shared with my brother, black95tt. Poured a very nice reddish pink color that after a while ended up turning into a reddish brown haze. With a swirl or two of the snifter a nice pinkish off white head formed on top of the glass. The aroma was very very funky, molded cheeses, leather, and horseblanket. Really quite the meld of lambic aromas that kinda took me off guard. I wasnt really quite sure what to make of it. Carbonation is spot on with this brew, and a very nice compliment to this beer...the palate is very nice. The flavor had a nice meld of the cherries and raspberries mixed with lots of funkiness. Some wood apparent in the flavor with a very very tart finish. A good brew, but I am not quite sure I could drink many glasses of this in a row.

Graciously sampled courtesy of the Indy crew, who brought it hard at Footie. 2007 bottle, with a huge vibrant pour, carbonation whipping up the pale pink body and releasing all the wonderfully complex aromas - woody, super dry fruits, champagne. Not much bite to it, as it’s surprisingly easy drinking. Lovely complexity, the kind of thing you could drink forever.

Bottle @ GBBF 2007, London. Hazy light to medium red color with virtually none, fair lacing, off-white, head. Aroma is moderate berry, (raspberry). Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration. Dry finish. ;o)) Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.
