Not much bite to it, as it’s surprisingly easy drinking. Lovely complexity, the kind of thing you could drink forever. fonefan (11818), VestJylland, Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Bottle from Belmont Station. Color is a darker pink with a bright cream head - fades fast. The star of the show is the aroma, which features a moldy berry nasty funk that could just stop a car. I find both flavor and aroma to be lacking in fruit, which is really only noticeable because of the fruit levels achieved in Schaerbaekse Kriek. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a dark red/pink with a beautiful light pink head. Aroma of oak, raspberry, and tartness. Flavor of sweet raspberries, tartness, sugar. Initially this was very sweet but got more sour as I drank it. Quite delicious but it doesn’t beat Schaerbeekse for me. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 26, 2008 Pours red/amber with a soft pink head. Tart raspberry and dose of funk to the aroma. Darn, there was a great quote tonight about the funk in this, but I can’t quite remember it. The berry flavor was very fresh, like a not quite rip raspberry, sort of tart and very mildly sour. Not very acidic, but a good dry earthiness. CaptainCougar (5519), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and big sweaty leathery funky tart fruity rasperries. Body starts slightly oily and earthy sweet with nice tart fruity complexity and oaky balance. Finishes leathery and tart with mild sweetness. A nice fruit lambic.
