LOVED IT! Cloudy, dirty red with a pink tinged head. Big raspberry nose, acidic, musty woodiness, some citrusy (lime?) notes. Funky raspberry flavors, tart, cherry finally makes an appearance, woody... just a whole lot going on here! Absolutely delish! sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Bottle thanks to Jbrus: Pours a hazy red in color with a pinkish white head. Aroma, lots of raspberries up front, tart and funky, some sour cherry notes, lemon, amazing. Flavor, tart and funky, strong raspberry notes, don’t get much cherry maybe just the added tartness on the finish, some acidity but not overly sour. This was excellent. Cherry pit, and skins. Very low acidity with a light woodiness, fresh tart raspberries and delicious sour fruit character. I love this beer! 502Flavors (631), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 3, 2009 A pricey 750 ml bottle that i have been looking forward to for quite a while. Well, here we finally go. Poured into snifter at cellar temp 55F to celebrate rating #500. Upon taking the foil off I can already smell this stuff (cork still in... a synthetic cork too, what the hell is up with that?). Pours a beautiful raspberry ruby red with a slight purple hue and a small pink head that took a bit of aggression to stir up, and which faded pretty quickly to a pink ring. Aroma is very fresh and funky - smells like bitter tart cherries upfront followed by sweet and very enticing fresh raspberries. The typical 3F musty, funky, wild character is there as well, and works great with the fruity aroma. The flavor lacks the sweetness hinted at in the aroma but is still very pleasant. Bitter tart raspberries upfront that lend to the funky barnyard character that follows through the moderately dry and acidic finish. Very well blended. Not one of the IN-YOUR-FACE lambics, but there is much to appreciate in the subtleties and the freshness of the fruity quality of this one. Medium bodied with meidum to minimal carbonation, which to me is PERFECT for this style. Overcarbonation -despite ebing a standard quality for many lambics- is a turn off to me. Overall: this is a beautifully crafted beer. At its price, it is worth purchasing to split with someone, but I am not sure I will ever be having this one again unless it comes to me as a gift. Very glad I invested though to try it at least once. Cheers to 500 more!! daknole (3032), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Aroma is funky, fruity, tart and really smells a lot like cranberries and sour cherries. So drinking this is quite the experience. It is tart and sour but so fruity. Tingling in the mouth with tons of fruit and funk. Dry on the finish. This isn’t cantillon sour, but it is complex and really nice. Easy to drink. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Wow! Bottle shared with bman1113vr. My favorite beer style are lambiks, so this was definitely a treat!
Pours with a redish amber hue, with a small white head that is mostly diminishing.
I got some citrus, spices, and surprisingly enough some dark fruits in the nose, mainly prunes and dates. Some yeast as well.
Flavor has a syrupy beginning - kind of sweet, but very slight, with a sour ending. The beer overall has a bready/yeasty, champagne flavor to it that is complemented nicely with the fruit notes as well. A very complex taste indeed!
Medium texture with light carbonation!
A great Lambik!!! Fred82 (406), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Aroma is big raspberry with hints of cherries. Little tart. Taste is tart but not too much. Big cherries and some raspberries. A bit acidic but not much. The keyword here is balance. it really felt as a whole while having the raspberries and the cherries "fighting" for your palate and nose. Really dry finish. A really special brew dranked with great folks. Nice memories there.
