Pours a beautiful translucent ruby color. Aroma is a light raspberry and lemon peel. Flavor is soft raspberry flavor with a little tartness but a nice sour finish. Not too funky, but more acidic and fruity. Carbonation is lively and and perfect for the style.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Bottle at Novare Res. Pours a cloudy reddish tan with a little white pinkish head. Aroma is fruits and leather. Flavor is what this baby brings to the table though. It’s got a initial bite of sweet and sourness from the yeast and fruit and has almost a fig-like flavor in malt backbone. Not an overwhelming yeast at all though, very mild mannered for a lambic...or maybe i’ve just had too many :-P Unlike most raspberry dominated lambics this one has a flavor of overripened fruits rather than unripe ones. This is a strange and unique one, a must have for sure. Blisscent (75), East Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Immense funky barnyard aroma typical of a solid Lambic that also is lively with a potent fruit complexity. Raspberries are most dominant here with a slight lingering of cherries settling. A pleasure to drink while enjoying all the layers. nbutler11 (769), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 3, 2009 I nearly crapped my pants when Sparky27 busted this out for Black Friday, so huge thanks to Eric! Pours ruby in color with a pink head -- very pretty for a beer. Very barnyard -- loaded with the aroma of funky yeast and underripe raspberries. Tastes aggressively of Worchestire sauce at the front of the palate followed by an almost Kool-Aid-like tart cherry/raspberry flavor on the finish. Unique and memorable. Glad to have had this one. Raspberry sour aroma with what seemed to be winter silage aroma from the old cold Wis days. Good raspberry flavor with a sourness to it. Also something in there couldn’t quite figure out what it was. So will just call it the funk you guys talk about. rustychiles (1057), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Appearance is bright purple, starts clear and progresses to cloudy/chunky due to my poor pouring skills. Soda-pop head that starts vigorously but disappears in seconds to leave no bubbles or lacing.
Smell changes every nanosecond. Vinegar, sour cherries, horse, raspberries, dust, and about a million other things - all at the same time.
Taste was amazing. Defies words. Sweet and sour all at once. Evident fruit. Must, dust and mold, and sweaty animals. Vinegar, the high end balsamic type from Modena.
Mouthfeel is orgasmic.
Drinkability is top of the line, not just for lambics, but for all beer. Nothing short of miraculous. after4ever (2783), Brier, Washington, USA
