Rerate: Bottle at home - club tasting. Ekstra notes: vingummi, sweetness. Bottle at RF07 - At the Plan B Tasting Session...... Thanks Guys !! Unclear golden - white head. Barnyard, horsey, light gooseberries, light sour / vinegar, high dryness. Not that fantastic. (4/2/6/3/15)

Bottled at Heeren van Liedekercke, Rating #1600.

Poured a clear coppery golden with a tall, sticky, and creamy cap of white head. The aroma was much more upfront and complex than the Rose with a huge lemon and vinegar presence.. deep, lightly-spiced fruits abound and are well-complemented by dusty barnyard notes.

The flavor was characterized by sharper lemon and acidic notes backed by some tart wheat.. freshly-sliced lighter fruits dance across the middle and through the long, tangy finish.. powerful and expertly-executed! Tangy on the palate with phenominal balance.. long, dry, and very refreshing finish. Masterful!

Bottle. Wow. This is as close to perfect as i have had. This had a really farmy aroma, with some sour fruityness and woody dryness in the aroma. First sip is fantastic. Dry and sour, but softly so. Mouthfeel is round, lightly puckery, with some dry woody characters, earthy hop notes and citric sourness. Really fantastic. The flavour seems to go forever and the carbonation is nice and soft. It was a shame i only had one bottle of this, i really didn’t want it to end. Nice one.

Bottle 75 cl @ De Heeren van Liedekercke, Denderleeuw, Belgium. Hazy orange color with a large frothy excellent lacing fully lasting off-white head. Aroma is tart, grapefruit, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy acidic with a long duration, rather sharp. (Dry finish). Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Wow... ;o))

From a 750mL Bottle. Slightly hazy, golden caramel colored pour with a massive head of soapy white foam. The head lasts forever with an active, continuously morphing, self-sustaining quality. A fantastic acidic wave of red fruits, thimbleberry seeds, and raspberry stems greet the nose with a light woodiness. Some delicate, white grapey sauvingon blanc skins blend well with some maple bark. A little more light and tart acidic fruits in the bouquet relative to the Roze, and less funky and spicy. Extremely light bodied, effervescent mouthfeel. The beer just explodes over the surface of the tongue with its intense acidic flavors and aggressive effervescence. Lots of tart grapes, apple skins, and pomegranite seeds. A smidgen of cheese rind lingers in the final smack with a lingering presence of lemon rind and a small shake of tellicherry black pepper. This beer has the incredibly rare quality of impressing me more and more each time I’m lucky enough to try it. Every gueuze will always have the unfortunate fate of being compared to this. What is perfection? This. And then try it with Humboldt Fog.

Hazy orange colored, tall white head. Tart grapefruit aroma, not too full but more sharp and also with some metallic hints?! Flavor is tart as hell. Grapefruit, toasted bread with a fizzy mouthfeel. Dusty age tones..... Good for sure, but too sharp to be super pleasant. No way nearly as good as Roze.
