The nose and mouth have plenty of prickly apricot, sour nectarine, and peach skin. This incredible sour fruitiness just ripples around the mouth forever bouyed by a lovely soft cabonation. Some damp flour, wheat (picked up by Casey) the edges are softened sightly which makes this so much more palatable to me than some of the very, very sour Gueze. Really marvellous beer. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

Opaque gold color and a tall white head. Heavily carbonated. Powerful aromas of yeast, barnyard horseblanket. Wild yeast. Earthy, dry, some cheese, very mild hops. Quite sour. Full palate and very full flavor. Probably one of the best beers ever made. One of my few 5.0 ratings. It is well deserved. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Some sourness and a bit of marshmallow. Dry wheat taste. Light lemon and a bit of tartness that fades pretty quickly. Very dry finish. Heavy carbonation. Excellent. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Bottle shared by pepsican. Thanks! Poured a hazy medium orange color with a white head. Smelled of old couch, light vinegar, lemon, and a hint of funky cheese. Light bodied and effervescent with a decent dose of mouth-puckering acidity. The flavor included the likes of pale malt, dusty white wine, citrus, and vinegar. Nice. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 26, 2008 Huge thanks to papsoe on this one. Murky amber pour with a nice sized white head. Oaky, dusty, leather aroma. Oh man. Zesty lemon, oak, leather, dust, and funk in the flavor. Tart finish with plenty of carbonation. This one was much more mild in the flavor than in the aroma which was very nice. Man oh man was this good. Blisscent (75), East Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 25, 2008 Updated: Jul 14, 2009Thanks to Brad (YGTBSM94). Very sharp and balanced gueeze. Dominate oak surrounds all characters of the beer. With the barrel there is a heavy dryness, tangy fruit, spicy elements, and yeast settling. Incredible high drinkability on the apple and lemon fruit with the dark yellow body.
