Birthday Beer #1. 750mL bottle split with artusory, courtesy of fonefan. Thanks, Jan! Pours a bright, medium orange color at first (hazier later on); effervescent and mildly hazy; fluffy off-white head that hangs around for a good while; patchy lacing with what’s left. Dense, fruit-laden tart aroma; definitely mouthwatering and funky, but reserved in these respects; the sourness is balanced nicely with a dense, citrus / tropical fruit and toasty oak core. Significant fruit character. Pleasant, medium levels of acidity and sourness upfront; dense tart citrus and tropical fruit core, but without showing any residual sweetness; quite dry, dense funkiness; pillowy, large-bubbled carbonation that keeps the palate wide awake. Lengthy, citrus-dominated finish; dry, with plenty of lingering funk and lemon zest. Excellent.

Bottle RBESG07 ... Clowdy orange ... light mellow fruit ... sharp lambic sour ... light front not bad considering not a lambic fan.

Bottle, RBESG 07. Very well blended, sour, sure, but also fruity. I feel my tooth fillings eroding as ususal with lambics. Citrus, redcurrants.

Bottle at RBESG 2007. Thanks to Mesandsim for this. It’s a "I must sit down," beer. Good lambic. Lovely tart redcurrant fruit. Intense. Good farmyard, softer than the Cantillons opened the previous evening. Good sharp fruit. Does take you to another place. 3.8/5.0 Re-rate Heeren van Liederkerke. Lots of character for this style of beer, soft in mouth. Good reddish fruits. Very drinkable because of the character.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Hazy amber, lively head. Incredibly aroma of cobweb and barnyard inm layerafter layer. Tart and light bodied with lively dense mouthfeel. Mildly sour with woody barnyard flavour. So lovely and complex! I’d like just a tad more acidity, but my god, that aroma. It’s 12 out of 10!

Bottle, huge thanks to Mes, rbesg07. Alround an amazing gueuze, funky yeasty tart apples, lots of sourness, great carbonation. This would be a top 10 for me however theres a slight apple dryness that slight get sin the way, still utterly outstanding. RERATE: Bottle thanks to Mes for my 23rd bday in Lowlander. Alround awsomeness, the hoppy apple character of the boon and the girardin sweetness are just great.

Orange with a small bubbly head. Smooth aroma, grapefruit and horseblanket hint of malt, hint of wood. Very tart but a smoother acidity than the blauw with some wood notes to it. I liked it slightly better than the blue.
