The aroma was of dark cherries, some vinegar, wood, light acidity. The flavour is dominated by the cherries (a good thing), some wood, tart and acidic. Dry, bitter mouthfeel, medium body, mild carbonation. Finishes very long and dry, again with lots of cherries. Very good stuff. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 20, 2006 Tap, in de Wildeman. Clear red color, no head or carbonation. Aroma of cherry, but soft. Taste has a soft tartness, bit watery, cherries ofcourse, not sweet. Thin body. Quite nice, but a bit too soft. yngwie (5084), Kristiansand, Norway

Aroma of sour cherries and cellar. Some other berries as well. Tart and acidic in the mouth, with cherries dominating the flavor. Thin bodied, like a watered-down juice, but not that low on flavor. It cleans your palate quite well. (060519) ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Slightly sweet flavor, syrupy, low carbonation. Sweet candy-like nose of red grapes and cheap grape juice. Really not that impressed by this one. Simple and juice like, in my opinion. When I sampled this the next day at the Drie Fonteinen restaurant, it was a little better. Had a much more striking nose of sweet, rich cherries, perhaps the most full cherry nose I’ve experienced. However, the flavor and texture didn’t impress me too much. Thinner than hoped, simple juice like flavors at times. henrikb (1306), Aarhus, Denmark

Great beer but could be much bigger (I think I have had it much bigger before!) Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
