tons of leathery funky goodness on the nose....great balance....wow ygtbsm94 (10), Ellicott City, Maryland, USA Sep 19, 2008 From a 75cl bottle; vintage 1998. Pours a light hazy full gold color with a fantastic amount of lasting Champagne foaming head. Aroma is a little musty with that slight note of horseblanket bouquet. Taste was very light and refreshing, sour notes where not that present for what I like in a Gueuze, still a very satisfying brew that I could drink all day. The mouthfeel was well-balanced with medium to light acidity, and nice lemony Brett tingle. Without question is a classic!! radiomgb (1776), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Sep 8, 2008 Murky orange in colour with a thin but very long lasting white coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma is sharp, acidic, musty, some cheese, yeast and leather, lemons. The flavour is sour, very tart and dry, lots of citrus, basement must, old cheddar cheese, some balsamic. Acidic mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes very long with some citrus and must.
I’m pretty sure that this has the perfect amount of age on it right now. Had incredible balance, high drinkability and a great mouthfeel. If only this was easier to find.
750ml bottle obtained in a trade with BeerBeing, thanks Alex.
Opened on March 29, 2008.

DA (2468), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 18, 2008 RBSG 2008. Another amazing treat, big thanks to who brought these. Earthy gueuze, cheese and citrus in the nose. Soft leather, barny-funktastic, dry with a mellow sourness and acidity. These age so well, just mellow and delicious. goldtwins (3738), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 RBSG ’08: Huge thanks to the guy who brought this. I never thought I would get this one and it was sure worth the wait. Poured a hazy yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is all of why I love the style. Tart citrus and tart leather. Yum yum. The flavor was sour and acidic but crisp on the finish. Nice yeaty leather funk. Refill please.
