Magic_dave6 (3753), London, Greater London, England Mar 7, 2006 Updated: Jul 22, 2008 YES. This was just amazing. Opens quite highly carbonated for the age. Poured into chamgane flutes, it has a great head and straight away apples start to come off it. Aroma hits with apples, yeast, bitter orange peel to be honest in was too busy sharing this with my mum of all people to write to many notes down. Taste is similarly complex as the aroma and increadibly drinkable. Dry and a mouth feel like champagne or Deus, but not overly dry so you can taste the beer abou 15 mins after your last drop. This was the best lambic iv ever had and it’ll take quite a bit to beat it. Yes. RERATE: Bottle at the RBESG08, Thanks to the chap that brough them. sTILL GOIGN STRONG AFTER THIS AMOUNT OF TIME. gREAT STUFF, MINDBLOWING COMPLEXITY.
KimJohansen (3351), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Cloudy golden with huge white short lasting head. Quite thick head for a lambic. Sour aroma with wood, grapefruit, barnyard and leather notes. Sour and very complex flavor with grapefruit, barnyard, wood and hay. Very soft and easyly drunk. I could drink this every moning. Excellent! tertons (100), East Providence, Rhode Island, USA Aug 25, 2008 Thank to YGTBSM94. Easy drinking w/ a slight tart and funk. Balance, complexity, and all fruit notes excell here. Maybe my favorite from 3 Fonteinen. Ageing is working well as of 8/22/08. DA (2425), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 18, 2008 RBSG 2008. What a treat. Dry and acidic, citrusy and tropical floral notes in the funkiness. The sourness and acidity were very relaxed, the aging mellowed this out very well leaving behind a beautiful mellow cloudy orange brew. ironchefscott (226), long beach, California, USA Aug 16, 2008 thank you dunk!!!! great nose of oak and funk...somewhat subdued funk compared to the younger vintages
glad to have tried it!
very complex Marsiblursi (1405), Gö te la borrrrg, Sweden Aug 10, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a glowing golden colour. The aroma is of mold, barnyard, horse blanket, citrus fruits and dust with tropical undertones of mango. The soft sweetness from the malt makes a perfect balance to the tart and sour tones. The flavour is light sweet and medium sour, tart and acidic with tones of citrus, toasted/cracker-like malt, barnyard, horse blanket and mold. Bit fruity. The mouthfeel is clean and medium dry. Medium bodied. Fantastic.
