An off brownish orange color with a small soapy white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Aroma has some tart citrus qualities I know this will be sour, a good amount of dry oak. Palate is puckering and coated. Flavor is very tart lots of sour fruits I thought a hint of berry and some apple skins over a dry wood taste that pulls the moisture off my tounge. A nice beer. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sour flattened cardboard malt aroma tucked in a bed of old pine needles. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Mostly sour flavour with mild grains, mild malt and mild citrus. Medium body is super bitter. A puckerer! Yum.

Sour and malty nose, some funk, apple seeds. Quite smooth, but not that special. Flavor is something else alright, strong apple seedy sourness, apple wine and earth. Natural dry apple finish. Medium bodied and smooth palate. Just keeps getting better with every sip. beastiefan2k (1603), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA

Pours with a big foamy head, the bottle was a light gusher. The color is dark murky/dirty golden, cannot see through the beer. Aroma is signature 3 Fonteinen rubber heavy. Then there is thick aged gueze maltiness to it and even a light malt sweetness, again from the age. Flavor is light citrus and barnyard. It’s lightly drying with lots of tartness at the end. Again, age shows with a heft in the none sour parts of the beer. Low acidity and pretty tame for a lambic. Very nice aged experience and definitely a defined difference from a fresh bottle. 750mL bottle, De Neve tumbler.
Thanks to mreusch, 15/03/2003 in a generic tulip glass. At first a very large head, bubbly. Clear dark golden color. I guess I wont get too much detailed here anymore its 3F, all rubber, dry dry rubber, their house character. rating stays.
