Commercial Description:
Vintage 2002: released beginning 2006
Vintage 2003: released autumn 2006
Vintage 2004: released summer 2007
Vintage 2005: released summer 2008

Editor’s Note: There is a lot of confusion on this one. Please look at your bottle. It belongs here only if it says "Vintage" on the label. If it does not, it belongs under the regular Oude Gueuze listing. The above vintage guide is not what you should go by, as there are both 2002, 2003, 2004, etc...releases of Vintage and Regular Oude Gueuze.

An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is super acidic with notes of grapefruit and wood, and the flavor is also lovely acidic with lots of grapefruit notes, and with a dry metallic end.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Pours a hazy honey golden with a creamy, off-white head. Distinct acidity in the nose, but also fruit, barnyard, manure and horse sweat - all the usual Brett characteristics. Light body with lots of fruitiness, citrus - grapefruit in particular - and acidity. But actually surprisingly smooth and mellow. This is not the kinda gueuze that makes your tongue crumble. Thanks to BierKönig for sharing. 100306

37.5 cL bottle, thanks to Jeppe. Pours hazy orange with a slowly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is barnyard and orange fruity. Light wood note. Flavour starts solid citric before a dry wooden note appears. Light orange fruity finish with a that classic brett/yeasty tartness. Dry and wooden yet smooth and fruity too - nice balance.

Bottled. Hazy golden, firm fluffy head. Distinct citric nose where barnyard is very evident. Soft, lively and juicy with concentrated flavours. Acidic and ultra-complex, yet frefreshingly drinkable. A super premium gueuze.

Bottle. Unclear - hazy orange color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing head. Aroma is sour, apple, lemon - grape, wood, horse blanket. Flavor is moderate sour with a average to long duration, and a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. Very nice (020208)

Bottle. Very sour, slightly earthy aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. Stable white head. Nice and soft flavour, but still nicely sour. The flavour is also earthy. I do not get any funky, unsettling flavours. Nice, sourish bitterness. 8 3 8 4 18

Bottled (thanks omhper). Firstly, the cork flew in the wooden roof, and almost broke it, so beware of high pressure. A bit hazy golden colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is sourness and fruits. Flavour is dry and sour oak. Extremely smooth to drink. Long sour fruitish aftertaste. Just superb!
