Strong yeast aroma and sweet cherries. Tart, sour, not overly sweet, cherry flavor is in very nice proportion to the yeastiness. I like em sour so this my cup-o-tea. Only fault is every fourth sip or so there’s a weird formaldehyde like aftertaste. Really great drinkability, not sticky or syrupy and the carbonation is fizzy but not annoying. I had a pretty good bottle. pantanap (1357), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2008 bottle....disclaimer: i’m gonna def have to rerate this since this one poured without any carbonation at all. is that the way it’s supposed to be?....suspicious bottle that felt dead even as the cork was removed. poured a dark currant red with no head to be found.....a sharp acidic and sour cherry aroma followed.....sour tart cherry flavors with no carbonation. body somewhat thin. tasted like unsweetened tart cherry juice.....i’m hoping that this was an off-bottle but i’m not exactly sure as a rater below (FastEddie had a similar experience). | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Bottle, Kulminator. Slightly cloudy reddy orange, thin off-white pink head. Nose is sharp and cherry, tingly, every so slightly plasticy. Mouth is tart, cherry, slightly metallic, full, slightly sweet at the end and ever so slightly watery. Lovely. ajm (945), Los Angeles, California, USA

A cherry flavor like a firecracker in a Pepsi bottle: very sour, very unmitigated. The usual lineup of lemon and zest notes. FastEddie (182), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Deep, opaque read. Little or no perceptible carbonation in this bottle which is from December 2005. Very tart aroma, and very tart, dry taste. Great body. Very good stuff. johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Pours red with a pink bubbly head that didn’t last. Heavy aroma of cherries. Sour cherry flavor which finished rather dry. Still very drinkable. holdenn (1443), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Updated: Dec 21, 2007375ml bottle dated 01 Feb 2005. Pours a pink red with a shiny glow of a jolly rancher and a thin filmy pinkish white head. Strong aroma of cherries sour and funky. Hay, earthy cherry pits. Tart cherries and a slight acidity lacing across my tongue. Sour rinds with earthy funk sneak into my liver without much notice. Tart drying finish as the cherries fade out and that sour rind remains. Excellent beer. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA

Nose is a bit sour with a good dose of barnyard yeast funk and a hint of cherry. Flavor is extremely sour and funky. Nice dry finish. Not bad.
