On tap at the brewery it tasted too sweet to me. Iin the bottle it is more mellow, sour, and even pleasantly bitter from hop presence. Good kriek.

Bottle from the Oxford CAMRA beer festival. Lovely ruby red pour, fine pink layer of head. Absurd volume of aroma--the funk begins as soon as the cork is released. Initial impression is a herd of sheep standing in the barnyard in the rain. With a pinch of pepper on the sheep. Now one of the sheep opens a jar of homemade cherry preserves. And the sheep trample the preserves. With a pinch of cinnamon, a drop of vanilla, and a squeeze of lemon to the sheep-trampled preserves. This barnyard must be near the sea: there’s definitely some brine to the air.

Forcefully dry cedar flavor and unabashed sourness. No cherry apparent in the sip, but between sips there is cherry on the lips. More pepper and lemon. This is forceful beer, but subtle too. (Rocky, playing the harp.) I feel a little afraid rating it: the beer might not approve and decide to punch me through a wall.

Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Friday evening beer tasting. Pours a dark brownish red brew with a thick and fizzy pink head that quickly disappears but leaves behind a nice lacing. Aroma of sour cherries some barnyeard funk and a touch of earthy spices. Taste is spritzy, a herbal tart cherry flavor with some dry herb aftertaste. Finish remains tart throughout.

Pours a dark ruby red, with a dark pink head. Very medicinal and sweet earthy cherry on the nose with a wisp of tartness. Flavor is very odd and unexpected. Not extremely tart, but instead a good dose of ripe cherries, an almost pit like earthyness. There is also an almost medicinal like herbal character. Not what I was expecting after havin the other kriek from them, but good nonetheless.

Bright red in colour, pink coloured head, fair retention, good lacing. The aroma is of sharp acidic cherries, some raspberries, woody, some sourness with an underlying sweetness. The flavour is quite tart, very sour, lots of cherry pits, very woody, some cheese, barnyard, brett and grape skins. Sour dry mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes long, dry, tart with a wonderful cherry sourness. This is excellent. Its aging nicely, excellent tartness. Another amazing lambic from 3 Fonteinen.

Bottle via Beerlando. Dark reddish color. Smell of oak, cherries, yeast and hay. Taste of tart, sour cherries, wood and acidic. What a great lambic. I have to get my hands on some more.

Red colour, pink small head. Aroma of cherry, earth, barnyard and horseblanket. Taste is of sour cherries. Sourness fades away along the way, leaving a pleasant cherry taste behind. Pleasantly refreshing.

Pours a reddish-purple color. Taste is that of a sour, black cherry. A bit of lingering tartness.
