Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours murky and lightly cloudy ruby with a spare, fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread), average hops (lemon), average yeast (earth, must) with notes of tart cherry and medicine. Light bodied, mineral texture, soft carbonation and a bitter, mouth puckering finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.

poured into tulip. this was a treat, very good and complex. pours a cherry red with full pink head, quickly dissipating, with good clearity. very sour cherry aroma. initial tart and sour taste. sour cherry with a light aged complexity. complex from tart dryness to crisp cherry finish, the aged oak offers an unpronounced background, the cherries bring around a dry almost red wine finish. very good, I was sad to see it go.

75 cl bottle, bottled Nov 06. Ruby red with a hissing, quickly disappearing dark pink froth. The fruity aroma has more orange than cherry. Some nutmeg and hay. Fruit dominates the sweet-sour taste as well, the prevailing notes being grapefruit and apple this time. Light spiciness. Smooth, oily, filling texture with some tickling carbonation.

Bottle from Bitter Virtue - First synthetic champagne style cork I’ve seen which proved slightly less forthcoming than the cork variety. Suprisingly low carbonation, but probably accounted for by this being bottled in Dec 06. Red colour without head. Good nose which retains some cherryish fruit but also has interesting almondy notes and light woody musty flavours. The sourness here is fairly gentle but it is still nice and dry with more development of the complimentary cherry and almond in the mouth.

Bottle@Akkurat, Stockholm: Leathery cellar aroma with sweet cherries. Tarty cherry flavour with an aftertaste reminding me of olives.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours red, hazy with a quickly disappearing crispy head. Aroma is cherry sweet/sour and sulphorish. Biting sour flavour with clear cherry notes. Dry finish. I had my hopes high for something great, this was mediocre :( 6-3-6-3-13
