Aroma is tart cherry, musty, and earth notes. Wow...this is a sour brew! Sour sherry and fruit overwhelms the palate. Some wood notes as well. Well carbonated body. Finishes with a dry sourness. Could use a little sweetness, but this is a great beer as is. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA

A full on blast of sour cherries and perfectly balanced against everything else. This is almost like an aperitif. The tart factor is off the scale. Very good! Naven (873), Poway, California, USA

375 ml bottle, purchased @ Holiday Wine Cellar. Zowie, is this stuff ever sour! I agree with others, the texture and carbonation of this stuff is fantastic. VERY tart. I would enjoy this much more if it was a tad bit sweeter. But, that’s just me. Still pretty good though. MrBendo (1043), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Pours a hazy deep red witha thin pink head. Wet spotty lacing. Musty woody earthen aroma, with only slightly of Cherries. Flavor is very dry, tart and of sour wood and cherries. Lively carbonation. not as much flavor as I had hoped, and Im not sure I would have guessed Cherries even. Nice Tart lambic though. The best part was seeing the face on my daughter as she tasted it for the first time.
Priceless. tennisjoel (946), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2007 Nose is tart cherry, no surprises there. Color is similar to a cherry fruit beer, and the red makes its way into the thin head as well. Flavor is sour, but not overly so. I must admit this is not my favorite style, but it does intrigue me nonetheless. Finishes dry. Very nice! I couldn’t drink more than one of these, even so, I still thought it was good.
On a side note, I also bought this to try it out on my wife. She thought it was good, although I think she was more impressed with NG Belgian Red based on her reaction. Unfortunately I don’t live in Wisconsin. Fortunately I live in an adjacent state.
