The aroma is a great blend of sour cherries and wood. This baby has lots of sour cherry flavor, but also has a complexity from the oak flavors. Full moutfheel and easy to drink. Great, great beer. This one is dry and extremely sour with an almost wounded hint of cherry and oak given the sting the sour quality delivers. Its almost like I’m drinking the cherry pits with a strong touch of oak. The dryness almost seems like a leather cloak enveloping the flavors. I have to say that this is exactly what I want from a sour lambic. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

A kriek from one of the great lambic brewers. This is really a sour one and at all no sweet sugar one. Great for that. I like it and I’m looking forward for another one. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 13, 2006 375 ML bottle. Poued a nice ruby red with less head than I had expected. Aromas were the expected cherry with that wild yeast smell too. Flavors were vey tart up front that settled down to a acidic cherry finish. Pretty Nice. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

And our only low alcohol beer of the night, which might explain why the tasting spiralled out of control after this one...anyway. Murky red, hazy, looks weird yet interesting, small white head. Wonderful aroma - funky yeast, slight hints of berry - really nice. Very dry taste - tons of cherry, short dry finish, lots of yeasty stuff in between. Maybe there isn’t the complexity I was expecting, but still really good. blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Bottled 14/05/04. Pours a hazy dark ruby with a small diminishing pinkish-white head. Very nice sweet and sour cherry aroma. Flavour of sour cherries, yeast, oak and a sweet, dry finish -- nice and complex and quite tasty. Full bodied. Fantastic! weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Appears a hazy, cran-raspberry toned rose with a small white head that fades into a tiny cap. Streaks of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is funky, with tart apples, raspberries, cherries, horse blanket, earthy, and old perfume.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with aged, tart cherries being the standout of the funky bunch.
Mouthfeel is sweet up front, quickly becoming tart, and running along the sides of the tongue. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle (375ml). Shared with blankboy, mds and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle. Hazy ruby with an average pink-white fluffy head. Funky aroma, burnt rubber, sharp pungent yeast, chour cherry - wonderful. Taste of sour cherry and funky, complex yeast - yum. Sticky, thick body, acidic and lightly alcoholic mouthfeel, solid sour cherry in the finish - nice funky/sweet fruiter, really nice cherry flavour.
