Taste is definitely a Kriek-hits you square in the mouth with a fermented fruitiness that doesn’t turn too sweet. Normally I enjoy these sour krieks, but this one just made my mouth twist a little. Luckily, the decaying fruit flavor dissipates into a sweeter aftertaste, but... OldMrCrow (1200), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a deep cloudy garnet with little by way of head. The nose is amazing -- cherry and tons of oak, the sweaty flank of a horse in the dusty outback, leather, and a very prominant, almost eye-watering lambic outhouse aroma.
The lambic nature is prominant in the flavor as well, which nonetheless remains well-balanced with a very dry cherry woodiness that interpenetrates the funky lambic sourness. There is a slightly unpleasant metallic bitterness on the long end of the finish, but this is not a major liability. The carbonation is very restained, leading to a subdued mouthfeel.
This is not an easy lambic, but it’s a very good one. presario (2999), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Warm sour scent with strong oaken cherry backbone. Cherry flavour is not as strong as expected. More salty, cherry vinegar in the finish. Lasting presence. Cuts the summer afternoon like a knife. Sourness does sink in between the teeth. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

Hazy, ruby red.
Short and redish head.
Cherries and bitter almond in abundance in both aroma and flavour.
Pretty thick and oily palate.
Not extremely sour. 5000 (2589), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 17, 2006 Bottle: Deep burgundy, blood red hues, moderate fizzy pink head, dies down quickly, sparce lacing. Oaken nose, seems very dry and tart, sour cherries a la cherry pits. Punching sourness aligns with the beginning of this one, but it smooths out nicely revealing a bowl of premature cherries. Oak accompanies the dryness. Seems somewhat vinous as well. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Very clean, up in your face tartness, but backs quickly so as not to leave your mouth completely puckered. Good stuff!

Uncarbonated. really sour like a lambic but the balance of cherries totally pulls it back from vomit like flavor of Bam Biere.
