12.7 oz bottle dated 2/01/05. pours a dark ruby red color with a thin pinkish head. Aroma is of sour cherries, sour red wine and a hint of lemon. Taste is too sour and bitter for my taste buds. Flavor is more like a red wine than beer. Not a big fan of these sour lambics. Couldnt finish the bottle.

Bottle marked "14/4/2005". Clear red body w/ ample carbonation creating a thin white head. Ginger, cherry, horse sweat, grapefruit rind tartness in the aroma - standard stuff a kriek. Lots of cherry flesh and toasty wheat malt in the base. Extra-tart lemon lactic an dpie cherry bombards the palate. Finishes with some leather and pine.

Thanks for sharinga bottle, hey_kevin. The body was dark red with a very light pink head. The aroma had some light barnyard and cherries with hay, leather and lemons. The taste was lemons and leather with a salty finish. There was some light cherry with a dry finish. A subtle and enjoyable lambic.

750ml Bottle shared by Styles. pours a dark red cloudy color with a light pink fluffy head. Nose is funky, sour cherries, musty and dusty with some stale water/locker room notes. Taste is sour cherries, light must again, bready malt, and a sticky sour palate.

Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Nice aroma of sour/tart lemmon, hints of cherry, mustiness, and wet dog. Pours a hazy reddish-pink with a small pink head. Nice sour/tart lemon flavors up front. Cherry is very subtle. Finishes with a nice woody balance. Cherry presence increases in the flavor as it warms.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Lightly hazy garnet ale with a small, creamy, pink head. The earthy nose is appropriately funky with notes of sour cherries, lemon, horse manure and hay. Fruity, earthy flavor with tons of acidity and dried flora. Very sour and lemony. Decently bittered. Underripe or sour cherries. Well-balanced. Light to medium-bodied and extremely dry with soft carbonation. Finishes very tart and dry. World class brew!

37.5 ml bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp. Bottled 23/12/2003. Blood red, no head. Sour funky aroma. Very sour and more funk in mouth, cherries kick in. This really is a lovely lambic. Just some faint cherry sweetness before sour finish which just lasts and lasts. Great beer. 4.2/5. Re-rate 23/12/2003 bottle at The Palace Hotel, Poperinge. I gave this exactly the same rating, how bizarre. Touch of mustiness on aroma. Restrained but mature cherry aroma. Smooth cherry cream aroma. Smooth mature and stunning. Vinous.
