Dec 16, 2005 Bottle thanks to Dickinsonbeer at RLB’s YEHA ’05. Tried this next to the Schaerbeekse Kriek and much preferred this one. Cloudy reddish amber color with a small pink head. Tart cherry aroma with some yeast and cheese. Funky sweet/tart flavor of sour cherries, apples, wood and yeast.

Goaty, barnyard brett aromas with moderate sour cherry notes. Less assertive cherry character than the Schaerbeekse. Flavor brings less brett and has a notable sweet cherry syrup quality with medium acidity. Good but not as special as the other Drie Fonteinen beers that have totally captivated me.

Dec 12, 2005 Thanks to Dickinsonbeer for bringing this to the Yeha. Poured red with a white head. Aroma mostly of barnyard funk. Very sour taste with a bit of cherry. Fun to drink.

Dec 12, 2005 750ml bottle. Poured a dark and cloudy reddish color with a small sized red/pink head. Aromas of cherries, yeast, and raspberries. Tastes of the same. Tasted side my side with a Schaerbeekse Kriek (which I enjoyed more than this one).

Dec 12, 2005 Bottle. Lots of yeast in the bottle. Dark reddish, small stable light pink head. Aroma of yeast, sugar, cherries, chalk, light hops. Sour/light bitter flavour, less sour finish. Dry beer.

Dec 6, 2005 Bottle. Pours a brilliantly clear, deep ruby red color. A moderately dense purple hued head sits atop the beer and slowly fades down to a ring around the edge and an intermittant layer. Good lacing. Aroma is horsey and full of Brett. Distinctly sweaty smelling. Lighter bodied with a distinct sharpness in carbonation. Slightly woody notes in flavor blend with a touch of cherry. Acidic and puckering for sure. Nicely done.

Nov 20, 2005 Hazy red almost dark purple color, small lilac film on top. Intense acidic, moldy, dusty, chalky nose. ery light cherry vinegar taste which grows on itself sip after sip. Puckers a bit on the sides o the tongue. Dry refreshing finish. Medium carbonation. Yummie!

Aroma: cherries, marzipan, cherry syrup, raspberries (?), blackberries (?), tulip maybe, some flower. Hard to define.
Sour, chemical, sourish...Soft and sticky, tight but plump.
