| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 375ml bottle bottled 12/14/2007, costly at $13. Very nice smell upon opening the bottle, cherry kool-aid and juice mixed. Nice pink color with a head that quickly evanesced. The taste puckers my jaws but doesn’t quite leave a sour taste on my tongue. Acidic, not much funk. I really enjoy the 3F gueuze so I’ll continue collecting that but for my money I’d rather have an oud beersel kriek as it seems to have more funk to it.

Smell of cherries, a nice yeast tone and some balsamic vinegar.
Has a beautiul, deep red colour. Minimal head when pouring which disappears quickly.
Delicate cherry flavour with slight sour tones. Loaded with fruit and rather sweet, but not the syruppy sweetness of more commercial kriek beers.
Definately a great beer. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
