Bottle: pours dark red with just a thin ring of white head, plenty of little bubbles from the carbonation, sour aroma of cherries, taste is tart, cherry, some wood or earthy flavor as well, thin mouthfeel.

3,75 cl bottle, bottled 14DEC07. Nice head, though disappearing quickly. Rather limited aroma. Great cherry finish on the tip of the tongue.

375ml bottle bottled 12/14/2007, costly at $13. Very nice smell upon opening the bottle, cherry kool-aid and juice mixed. Nice pink color with a head that quickly evanesced. The taste puckers my jaws but doesn’t quite leave a sour taste on my tongue. Acidic, not much funk. I really enjoy the 3F gueuze so I’ll continue collecting that but for my money I’d rather have an oud beersel kriek as it seems to have more funk to it. 375cl Bottle (14-12-2007), bought at the brewery shop. Smell of cherries, a nice yeast tone and some balsamic vinegar. Has a beautiul, deep red colour. Minimal head when pouring which disappears quickly. Delicate cherry flavour with slight sour tones. Loaded with fruit and rather sweet, but not the syruppy sweetness of more commercial kriek beers. Definately a great beer.

12.7 oz. bottle. 14 Dec 2007 botting date. Dark red color with a thin, bubbly white head that disappears quickly. Aroma of tart cherries and some wood notes. Nice sour flavor with a ton of cherry. A bit of vinegar as well. Finish is a dry, barnyard funk.

750 ml, nov 06 bottle w/ Simon. No pfttt on opening, strange. Fairly still. Nice funky nose - although mild. Nice cherry, musty combo. Solid kriek but was hoping for a bit more bite.
