Lot Number 22 March 2006

7/11/2007: 3 Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek has an aroma of real bing cherries with a slightly acidic and musty quality to it. It is dark ruby red in color (purple hue to it as well) with a pink/nearly red foamy head. The flavor is also musty and acidic as well as sour. There is a long, tart cherry and wheat finish. The body of this beer is medium-light to medium and is nicely carbonated. Complex and very good!

750 ml bottle (Alc 6% Vol.) shared by Tmoney99 at the Dilly Deli. Thanks Tom. I appreciate it! Rating #231 for this beer...

750ml bottle. Thanks to gputty for bringing this to my last minute tasting - I wasn’t even sure he drank beer anymore. Brown-tinged red with a slightly pinkish head. Lightly astringent cherry nose, some light funkiness. Mildly sour cherry flavor, lightly acidic finish. Excellent!

Sampled at the 1st annual Stone Sour Festival 2007. Awesome color of red, with aromas of sour cherries. Very tart with a perfect balance of sour/sweetness.

Amazing nose of cherries and horse saddle and barns. Sour cherry flavor with a well integrated oakiness. Frigging fabulous.

Rating #200! Tried at Stone’s 1st Annual Sour Beer Tasting. Wonderful raspberry red color and sour cherry flavor and aroma. No head. Slight nice funky sour aroma. As I approach the botton of the glass I would call the aroma perfect. This a great beer, and worth the $21/bottle. Sometime my ratings have a range, in this case it was 4.5-4.7, but I gave it 4.5 to be closer to the mean.

Pours a hazy red with a light pink head. Quite sour with strong cherry aromas. Very fizzy carbonation. Also hint of resin. Strong tart cherry finish. A bit too tart for me.
