Oh the delicious aroma! Huge amount of cherry in the nose, with some sourness and lambic mustiness/funkiness. Cherries dominate the flavor as well, but in such a subtle & delightful way, balanced with a hearty dose of sourness. Not really sure what a Schaerbeekse cherry is, but I know I like them! This was so easy to drink! Dedoulequeen07 (136), london, Greater London, England
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 10, 2007 A fantastic fruit beer. A deep red colour with slight pinkish tinge and a medium plae rose head. Aroma is of sour cherries and cherry drops with lambic funk but not 2 overpowering. Taste is cherries, cherry stones, nutty earthyness with a fantastic sourness and carbonation. Works perfectly giving a yummy tart finish. Not 2 sweet but rich in cherry flavour. Pours a hazy, reddish with a huge, pink head - quickly fading though. Aroma of sour cherries. Medium body with a very high carbonation, again sour cherries in the flavour - the sourness lasting all through the finish. 090507 jazz88 (2239), San Francisco, California, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours medium red with little head. Some yeast floaties. Smells like sour cherries, yeast, hay... great. The same in the flavor... nice sourness, not too much though, just right. I think... either this is perfect or it just really hit the spot today. My favorite lambic so far. DrHomolka (731), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Jun 3, 2007 750ml bottle, March 05. Pours a pretty pink with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is classic Kriek. Horse, nature, earth, barn, hay, tart, sweet cherries. All perfectly balanced into the best lambic aroma I have yet to smell. Perfectly balanced between all the characteristics. The taste is super tart at first, then sweet then the cherries come through before a dry, cidery finish. This is certainly the best lambic I have tried and a perfect example of everything I have come to love about the style. I might have to give the 3F Oude Kriek another try.
