There’s a cartload of funk to pair with the amazing cherries in this beer. To me, this epitomizes kriek. Tastes just like the countryside. Brilliant. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, China
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Bottle at WSF. Deep magenta with pink head. Medicinal in both the nose and the body, but not in a sharp or offensive way. A tad metallic. Has a bit of vinegar spike but then mellows out. Has some candy notes and then tannic ones too. Marachino type cherry flavors. Ends up being very nice ChristianScheffel (4689), Odense, Denmark

Deep red with a pink head. Sour fresh cherry aroma with almond, vanilla and wood. Flavour is sweetish cherry, with lots of wood, and a wonderful tart cherry aftertaste. Delicious! hellbilly (1567), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

plastic band-aid nose with notes of earth, herbaceous funky stink and tart fruit.
that plastic aroma carries over in to the flavor... it’s met with a savory almost woody note, tannic dryness from the cherries, a touch of tartness, wheat-like mustiness, spice and some stank.
average body with prickly sharp carbonation... meh, i’ll have to revisit sometime. thanks jason for the taste! 6/4/6/3/14/3.3
bottle from rustychiles...
looks like cloudy cherry juice mixed with beer...
big difference...smells of wheat, rubber, minerals, cinnamon, tart cherry, red wine vinegar, bubble gum and rose petals.
the palate is incredibly tart and dry with notes of tart cherry, cinnamon, flowers and a dry yummy herbaceous finish.
the medium body is clean, dry and prickly. much better... 8/5/8/4/17/4.2 Jerre (1768), Waregem, Belgium

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Hazy raspberry pour with small ivory bubbles that line the outside of the glass. Quite dry with an overwhelming band-aid flavor that has hint of tart cherry skin, and a bit of acidity. Medicinal nose. A little funky, a little sour, quite average. Disappointed.
