Bottle shared by BOLTZ7555 at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours a hazy maroon color with a small pink head. Flavor and aroma of tart, unripe berries, cherries, lemon and a touch of aspirin. A bit of funk and a dry finish. Delicious. Thanks Jason.

Hazy reddish beer, pink head, sour cherry aroma, very acidic, earthy and dry cherry taste. I liked the Oud beersel kriek a bit more than this and found them quite comparable, the high carbonation in this suprised me. Not really vinous but really refreshing on a nice summer day. All in all a really good kriek.

750ml bottle shared by BOLTZ7555 at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours milky cranberry red with a thin off-white head. The nose is light barnyard, bandaids and tart fruit. The taste is unripe fruit, vinegar and light barnyard funk. Medium prickly mouthfeel. Good – refreshing brew. Thanks Jason!

A hugh sour cherry and aroma a bit like old black cherry something.A dark cherry with a hint of pink. Hugh sour cherry acidic, very dry finish. Medium carbonation with a very solid mouthfeel and body. A very nice beer.

Thanks to decaturstevo for this one. Deep cherry colored body with a full sized fleeting pink head. Leathery sweaty aroma over musty cherries. Tart, sour, acidic. I would prefer thsi one with food, rather than just by itself as a drink.

From a bottle courtesy of friends. Dark pink, fizzy body with creamy pink head. Aroma dry with oak and cherries. First thing that hit me when I took a drink was a saltiness to it, then the cherry flavor, with a type of tobacco flavor finish. Maybe would be good in a cigar bar! Interesting to say the least, but good.

Thanks to rustychiles for the supercheap bottle. Pours a dark pink with thin white head. Aroma is cheesy, funky, with lots of acetic sour quality. Very faint, late cherry aroma. Taste is quite sour/acetic like a gueze. Not much fruit character at all. Cheesy, funky, super sour, with some hints of cherry in the aftertaste that are a bit soapy. Decent, but I’ve had better.
