Ive been looking at it on his shelf for a while, and he must’ve been drunk enough to say go ahead. Nice bright pour, with a puckering sour smell. The cherry flavor isn’t enough to overpower the sourness of it, like some lambics, which adds even more to the overall beer. Alcohol is a little high for a lambic, but you can’t really tell while drinking it. Very very nice. Blaze312 (132), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 30, 2009 750ml bottle. Had at a beer tasting. Bright red in color with a light pink head. Taste of sour cherries. A tart aftertaste. radiomgb (1982), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Clear and very bright red in colour with a large fairly quick to dissipate pink head, good lacing. The aroma is very tart and acidic, lots of dark cherries, pretty sour. The flavour is pretty sharp, lots of black cherries, tart and very sour with a underlying sweetness. Acidic mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes very long, sour and highly acidic.
Another outstanding lambic from 3 Fonteinen. They all seem to have a wonderful balance for such a powerful lambic.
750ml bottle obtained in a trade with Engelsmann, thanks Martin.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 6, 2009 The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass also. Starts quite sourish, but not too intense. Nice fruityness in the background. Incredibly drinkable. Prickly and warming finish. Great beer! DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2009 2005 bottle: Pours a very red brown with a small white head. Very strange aroma. Super tart with a few sweet cherries and wet wood smells. What a unique flavor. A little spritzy with a light sweetness and a sour tartness that dominates the flavor and puckers the mouth. Sweet cherries fill in the body a little, but the dry wood and tart citrus make up the majority of the flavor. Vas19 (299), Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2009 2005 Bottle. Pours red with thin off white head. Aroma is tart, funky wild yeast, the cherries are hidden in the background. Flavor starts with a very funky sweetness and finishes with a good cherry flavor. It’s amazing how diverse beers can be. Mouthfeel is good. I’m liking this more and more as I drink it. ggaughan (94), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Luxembourg
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Served from a 750 ml caged and corked bottle at Cooper’s Seafood in Scranton, Pa. The beer poured a nice redish color with a medium thickness pink head and good retention and lacing. The aroma is of sweet cherries but also a nice kick of barnyard funk. The taste is very tart and strong cherry taste along with the funk but the funk is not overpowering. A very enjoyable taste as if the cherries were freshly picked. This ranks right up there with any Cantillon offerings. poolboy (66), Lafayette, Indiana, USA
