2006 Bottle from Sam’s Clybourn. Pours a deep ruby with a tinge of brown. Nose is acidic and woody, not a ton of funk. Taste is pretty acidic and distinctly cherry flavored. Bitter finish and could probably use a few more years. Finishes dry and clean. Very nice.

Bottle 750ml, Appearance: amber ruby red , mid haze (white top tea like).Aroma: sour cherry feel, hint of vanilla, slightly woody with funky farm feel. Brown malts beneath. Flavour/Palate: strong sourness, baking soda , vanilla with tartness around. A bit harsh, rough and sample of style.

Sampled during Minnesota first annual Sourfest and shared by several guests. Pours a hazy reddish amber brew with a thin pinkish white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film. Aroma of tart cherries, powdered and toasted malt, some barnyard funk, and a touch of oak. Taste is slightly sweet than tart with some carbonation and medium bodied texture. Flavors include semi-sweet cherries, a touch of yeast and golden grain malt, Finish is semi-sweet with a mild cherry and yeast aftertaste.

Pours dark hazy red with a short lived pink head. Aromas of horseblanket, cobwebs, cherries, and general funkiness. Flavor of extremely smooth funkiness, slight tart but not too sour, some cinnamon and a wonderful buttery cherry flavor. Smooth mouthfeel with low carbonation. Probably the best lambic I’ve personally had to date.

2005 vintage: poured deep red with maroon around the fringes and a nice pink head. aroma was lots of cherry with oak and citrus, and a slight vinegar note. flavor was much of the same lots of citrus and oak with the cherries. nice sourness with tannins supplying a well rounded character. nicely carbonated with plenty of tannins to provide structure, rather full feeling in the mouth. excellent.
