A Mes rate. Bottle in our hotel room looking out of our window onto a truly spectacular view.
Hazy dark yellow with a huge pillowy white head. Heavy yeast on the nose along with lots of spice a little fruit and plenty of sweet bread. The flavour is similar but seems a little too yeasty and the aggressive carbonation gives it a slight feel of infection. The finish brings it back round. Really good sweet fruity malt, some bread and biscuits and then some late lemon. Given the 1985 Stille Nacht we had before this, it had a hard act to follow. Good enough but certainly not the best Alvinne beer. Still, a toast to an exceptional day, good friends, good food, good weather... Life is good.

Bottle at Erasmus. This blonde beer poured with a thin off-white head and a citrus aroma. The beer gushed from the top when opened by our waiter, but he recovered remarkable well. The flavor is carbonated citrus and spiced malt.

Bottle at Erasmus. Pours hazy dark gold with a fluffy white head. Aromas of fruit and castille soap. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is powerful citrus and malt. Spices are strong and unfamiliar. Amazing and difficult to describe. Perhaps a soapy finish. But not a bad finish. Mellows nicely. Turns rather citrus with time.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen/MiP/yespr. Slightly hazy golden with tiny floating impurities and a tall and lively rough white head that dissipates completelty. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, fruit and spices with some sulphur. Dry and bitter finish. Came as an extreme gusher - half the bottle was lost! 200309
