Commercial Description:
A deep copper colored American style ESB (Extra Special Bitter) made with lots of crystal malt and dry hopped for that West Coast "bite". Our ESB yields an earthy, fruity aroma followed by a rich caramel, spicy flavor. The finish is slightly sweet and aromatic.

Earthy hoppy aroma with a citrus. Nice malty flavor and balnced bitterness. Could drink this beer all night. So I did.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours amber with a moderate white head. Aroma is biscuity, with English-style hops. Flavor is typical ESB, with some nondescript bitterness and a bit of caramel hops. Wholly respectable, though far from this brewpub’s most interesting offerings.

Copper color with great red highlights. Smells sweet. Soft caramel taste with a clean slightly bitter finish.

Draft at the Sandy Springs location, poured a copper color with a very nice head and lacing, as good as you can get within this style. The aroma was herbal hops, biscuits, and esters. The flavor followed suit with some citrus notes, toffee, and light caramel also present. Mouthfeel was moderately bodied, on par for the style, and pretty crisp and clean. A nice brew.

Light toasted grain nose, dark ruby-amber color, low tight head. Cherry fruitiness in the malt, nutty and woody notes too. Fresh U.S. hops with a slight peaty end. Tight sharp gritty bitter. Thin, but good.

Color is a rick dark red-brown with no cloudiness. Aroma is faint but has an interesting metallic hint. Flavor is strongly hoppy, plenty of bitterness, with smoky undertones and a soupcon of metallic.

Crystal sugar tastes and aroma. Slightly sweet. Nice amber color. Not a big fan of this style but this brew is more toned down than the other versions I have had.
