Commercial Description:
A deep copper colored American style ESB (Extra Special Bitter) made with lots of crystal malt and dry hopped for that West Coast "bite". Our ESB yields an earthy, fruity aroma followed by a rich caramel, spicy flavor. The finish is slightly sweet and aromatic.

On tap at brewpub. Dark translucent amber pour. Typical ESB aromas...malty, mild hop spiciness. Flavor was similar, but seemed a bit on the weak side. Some caramel, maltiness trying to pounch through. Light bitterness edges into the picture at the end. This one didn’t measure up to the other offerings. It was quaffable, but not the best example of the style.

On tap at 5 Seasons Brewing Atlanta, GA. This is one of their brews. They should know how to serve a beer here, but my glass arrived at the table full to the brim. So, I have no idea the color, size or duration of the head. It was amber in color. It had a piney hop aroma with a nice malt backbone to it. The taste was nicely balanced and very enjoyable.

European hops in this Vienna, and well malted, caramel. Thin, not complex, easy drink but malt and finish was not satisfying.

Rich red/brown with lacing in white. Pine touch tot he nose. Citrus, orange, flavors of gum, candy. Carbonated in a frothy way, nice touch of bitterness in the finish. Balanced, friendly, comfortable. (on tap at brewpub)

The color of a nice alt - red-brown with a little greenish tinge. Muted aroma. Chalky palate. Medium-light body. Dry, a bit tart, woody bittering. Extremely good session beer. Lightish body, no unpleasant aftertaste, though the bitter lasts for a bit. Quite good.

On tap at the Brewpub in Atlanta. Light copper appearance, off-whit, fluffy, creamy head with good lacing. Sweet, enticing toofee, candy-like aroma. Flavor has some candied sugar notes, light citrus tints, some caramel. Good overall subtle bitterness. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Very good brewpub ESB. Good start to the evening.
