Commercial Description:
A deep copper colored American style ESB (Extra Special Bitter) made with lots of crystal malt and dry hopped for that West Coast "bite". Our ESB yields an earthy, fruity aroma followed by a rich caramel, spicy flavor. The finish is slightly sweet and aromatic.

(Draught) Pours a deep amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, and mild pine. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel, and mild hops.

Copper hued with a small off-white head and little lace. The aroma hints of caramel, hazelnut, floral hops, and zesty yeast esters. Nice malty tones with a grapefruit midsection noted during tasting. A bitter and slightly smoky finish. The mouthfeel is dry and astringent, thin. Average beer and not within the style, quaffable never the less.

European hops in this Vienna, and well malted, caramel. Thin, not complex, easy drink but malt and finish was not satisfying.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light brown colored body and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was bready. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow caramel aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of hops nutty and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at 5 Seasons Brewing Company. Small tan head with short retention, transparent body, no visible carbonation, one ring of lacing, and a reddish-brown hue. The aroma was malty, fruity, citrus hops and semi-sweet. and semi-sweet. The flavor was very mild for style and mimicked the aroma, but where is the bitterness?? Smooth mouthfeel and light bodied. The aroma was more of an IPA than that of a Premium Bitter/ESB. I would have given a 7 for Flavor if there had been some bitterness, but I detected none.

On tap at the Brewpub in Atlanta. Light copper appearance, off-whit, fluffy, creamy head with good lacing. Sweet, enticing toofee, candy-like aroma. Flavor has some candied sugar notes, light citrus tints, some caramel. Good overall subtle bitterness. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Very good brewpub ESB. Good start to the evening.

Dark brown, no head. Earthy and woodsy hops, a hint of almond flavors, too. Tasty and easy drinking. Sampled at the Great Atlanta Pub Crawl, 2004.
