BBB63 (3810), La Porte, Indiana, USA Mar 3, 2004 Copper hued with a small off-white head and little lace. The aroma hints of caramel, hazelnut, floral hops, and zesty yeast esters. Nice malty tones with a grapefruit midsection noted during tasting. A bitter and slightly smoky finish. The mouthfeel is dry and astringent, thin. Average beer and not within the style, quaffable never the less.
nearbeer (1341), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 9, 2008 Clear copper with a small ring of foam. Mild aroma of toffee, apple and nut. Flavor is caramel with light apple and pecan. Light-medium body is smooth and lightly carbonated. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Apr 6, 2008 Pours into an interesting amber shade just like a penny, not sure if that’s a color, but it could be. This is a textbook example of the style, dried fruit glazed over a earthy malt backbone, and a satisfying bitter bite in the finish. BigMilly8 (373), Holiday, Florida, USA Mar 2, 2008 From tap at brewpub : Clear pour, copper color. Comes with a finger of white head and big sticky lacing. Some fruity notes on the taste, also abit nutty. Medium body with a creamy feel. No real aftertaste at all. shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Feb 17, 2008 Cask:
