Aroma: Malt and fruits with some nutty and spicy qualities.

Tried this for free at their 5th anniversary party, April 2006 - thanks for taking me here, Skaughty! Clear deep brown/red with beige head. Aroma is banana and spice, malty. Taste is summer fruits, malts, nutty, spices. Mostly dry finish with some lingering sweet brown sugar

Murky brown color with no head. Solid aroma of candi and brown sugar. The flavor is straight forward sweet malt and sugar with some tobacco for finish.

sample from growler at DLD - Pours dark brown with a huge, fluffy, enduring head. It smells sweet and yeasty, and as expected the taste follows suit with caramel malt, yeast, and a bit of fruit.

Hazy, light chestnut color, nutty, peppery, like cilantro bubblegum. Tobacco up front, complex, interesting, not entirely satisfying.

A sweet, malty beer. Light fruit in the aroma and flavor. Cloudy with sediment. A simple Belgian ale, but the sweet malt and fruit taste better than most of the style. On tap common? Really?

From a tall liter bottle, shared at JK’s Spring Gathering. Pours a heavy and deep mahogany with a creamy and light tan head. Aroma of Belgian caramel, honey malt, plums, brown sugar and some nutmeg. Taste of heavy sweet molases, toffee, pecans, and some chocolate. High on the alcohol. I could pick up some doughnut yeast with earthy hops. Palate is a little flat, maybe a slight acidic but has a smooth finish.
