Commercial Description:
Highlanders and Lowlanders agree, a good kilt lifting on occasion raises the spirits. With gentle roasted graininess and a touch of sweetness, Kilt Lifter is warm and strong enough for all ye lads, lasses and sheep. Put it in yer belly!

My second favorite here. Dark reddish brown with an everlasting head. Hides the alcohol well, because none on the nose, just malty sweetness although slight. Flavor was like warm caramel, finishes like velvet.

Mahogany pour with off white creamy head and lace. Semi sweet malt caramel malt and abv on the nose. Abv, semi sweet malt, brown sugar, and a mdium bitter finish. Medium/full bodied with nice carbonation. Very warm sweet and smooth. Very nice.

Dark amber and bright. Sweet, earthy aroma. Caramel flavour with a bit of peanut and a bit of herbal hop in the finish.

Pours a dark brown with a beautiful purple hue when held up to the light. Unfortunately the aroma was a little buttery but there was some nuttiness in there too. Flavor was chewy malt, purple fruit, flat cola, and nut again. Finish was a little bitter, metallic hop bitter. Judging by previous ratings it looks like this brew has its good batches and bad batches.

Draft. Clear, amber color. Thin, white head. Good bit of lacing. Sweet, malty aroma. Flavor is nice. Lots of malt and roasted nuts.

This has apparently cleared up since the last review. Pours a very dark copper brown. Clear. The malt is not thick exactly but it spreads slowly over the tongue. This would be quite satisfying for a malt craving. Low bitterness.

This was an amazing beer. The malt was very chewy, and there was all sorts of stuff going on. Cola and peat. Caramel and more. It was delicious. Nicely dark. There wasn't anything better at Classic City Brew fest.

Comes out of the tap a rich sable, nearly black, and quite opaque but with a minimal head. Aroma is rich and strong, malty with good nutty and molasses undertones and a hint of smoke or roast. Flavor fills the mouth - malty, smoky, nutty, with a touch of molasses and just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is exceptionally smooth and very pleasing. Another winner from 5 Seasons.

A delight! The rich dark chocolaty color is inviting; head is on the thin side. Aroma is not strong but pleasant, decidedly malty with burnt coffee undertones. The exceptionally rich flavor has strong coffee tones with smoky and nutty elements and just a touch of bitterness. This very enjoyable brew is to be sipped and savored on its own, rather than chugged down or consumed with a meal.
