Commercial Description:
Our Pale Ale is a blend of two well-known English styles, Extra Special Bitter and India Pale Ale. It is golden amber in color, mild in taste, but crisp, with a fruity, hoppy nose. Lionheart is full flavored, but not extremely bitter nor cloyingly sweet.

Light gold color with a medium bitterness in the hop bite. Nicely balanced by the perfect combinations of malt. Medium bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Best brewery in Atlanta hands down.

The description on the menu was that this beer was a cross between an English Pale Ale and an ESB. I thought they did a pretty good job at it: the balance between malt & hop is good. The aroma is very nice.

Draft at 5 Seasons. This beer had a small sized tan head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was softly carbonated and transparent with an orange hue. The nose was that of light hops and some fruity notes. The flavor was lightly bitter, and a very mild hoppy taste. The mouthfeel was smooth and this was a light bodied beer with a fair lacing.

Tap, served in sampler glass. A good american pale ale, I don’t know if I buy the mix of IPA and ESB. Good aroma of hops with some malt.

A very shy cascade aroma and flavor. Malt presence is also understated. Lightly bitter flavor. Watery flavor/mouthfeel really is the biggest detractor here. I didn’t take notes on this last night, but I tried it again. Seemed more flavorful than my previous experiences with it. Moved the score up from a 3.0

Medium light PA coloring. Light ale aroma. Clear, light citrus gel flavor. Hopping initially comes across mildly, but then builds. Very lightly sweet. Light body. Nice balance.
