Appearance: black, huge brown head, lots of lace,
Aroma: strong coffee aroma that initially overpowers the dark chocolate and roasted malts but relents to let the chocolate take control with the coffee fading back to meld with the roasted malts,
Body: creamy and slightly oily oatmeal body,
Flavor: rich malt flavor, lots of coffee character, touch of dark chocolate supports the coffee, as it warms the dark chocolate grows to balance the coffee and adds a bitter-sweet chocolate edge,

unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jan 23, 2008 Cask. Dark black. Tall, dark brown head. Aroma of rich fresh roasted coffee. Flavor tents to mellow out a little into a very rich dark cocoa, mocha flavor from the rich initial espresso notes. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied. Overall, very drinkable, but kinda finishes thin.
