Bottle… This beer rocks!... Hazy golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Fantastic retention. Awesome aroma – pale grains, red wine, oak and a touch of vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with mellow carbonation. No real balance. Moderate to medium pale malt sweetness, modest red wine acidity and gentle, oaken earthiness. Finishes sweet and mildly acidic. World class saison!

Bottle sampled at the brewpub 5/22/08: Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a thin ring of off-white bubbles. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, vinous oak, red grapes, light spices and a bready Belgian yeastiness. Body starts fairly full and malty sweet with a nice oaky complexity and some light fruity notes and orange peel spice before a drier, crisp and authentic finish. Has the perfect balance of red wine barrel character. A great saison!

750ml bottle @Noogfest4.0-pours an off white ring for a head and cloudy yellow with brown tint. Aroma is oak-wine, musty, yeast, dark fruit. Taste is oak-wine, musty, yeast, medium/dark fruit. Semi-dry finish. Occasional

Noogfest ’08. The body was hazy dark amber with a white head. The aroma was grapefruit with some floral hints. There was also some cheap hard candy and brandy. The taste was bread and cherries. Interesting and sweet.

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This saison pours a pinkish orange gold color from the bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, floral and sweet, touch of spices. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet. Sort tartness as well. The hops are earthy and spicy. Interesting beer, nice mix of yeasty and spicy. Very clean and crisp tasting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and spicy.

Appearance: Pours a clear, copper body with a tall, though thinning, white head. Smell: Pale and wheat maltiness done up right with crisped sugars and spice and maybe a bit of lavender. Infused with a few added drops of orange citrus oils. Distant note of red wine, like someone dropped a bottle in the next room. Taste: Soft malted wheat sweetened with citrus-flavored candy and vanilla-lavender ice cream. Dash of spice. Slight pear fruitiness. A puckering red wine component jumps in and out of the flavor. Finishes creamy, warming, and rather dry. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Very velvety texture. Drinkability: A nice saison, albeit a very different kind of saison.

Cask. deep hazy orange. thin head. Spicy, herbal aroma. Hints of fruit. Flavor is a dry sweetness, spice, pepper, and some light vinous flavor.
