Pours a deep almost opaque brown color with a brown head. Aroma is smoky, molasses, chocolate, roast, caramel, some espresso, and and some earthyness. Flavor is malty, caramel, smoke, roast, molasses, chocolate, some espresso, and a bitter roasty finish.

Jul 17, 2008 Cask at 5SN. Poured a deep dark brown, almost black with a creamy resiliant head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, molasses. Taste and mouth were smooth. Coffee present, but not overwhelming. Finish is bitter.

Jul 13, 2008 cask. Pours black, thick tan, creamy head. smoke, chocolate, molasses, and some distant coffee. Flavor is rich, thick and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor os rich espresso. Full bodied and flavorful.. PMS is better with espresso.
