CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 5, 2007 On tap on 3/3/07: Pours a clouded hazy copper orange with a thin, wispy ring of white head. Sweet, bready, biscuity malty aroma has good authenticity and some peppery spice notes. Body starts with a sweet toasty caramel biscuit flavor, light fruity esters, nice carbonation and a smooth, bittersweet finish with a touch of tartness. A pretty good, and true to style abbey tripel.
unclemattie (1715), Georgia, USA Feb 21, 2008 Tap. Cloudy orange. Aroma of sweet malts. Slight aroma of that white stuff between the orange rind and the meat inside of an orange. Goes down light and refreshing. Lingering bitterness brings balance to the loveliness of the drink. Aging this for a year seems to have added to the character. Flavorful, calming, creamy mouthfeel. Medium Bodied. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Sep 14, 2008Date: 02/22/2007
