Commercial Description:
Ours is a traditional German-style Wheat Beer. We use German wheat, German barley and German hops.
It is gold in color and has a soft, smooth malt character. We also use a German yeast specifically cultivated for this style of beer. It imparts extremely interesting flavors of banana, clove and spice. It is unfiltered and, therefore, cloudy as is traditional.
Sgt. Schultz may know nothing – except that this is a great beer for our hot days of spring and summer.

On tap at the brewpub in Alpharetta - cloudy, murky medium golden pour with a crisp, yet fluffy white head. Clean, fragrant estery aroma, cloves, bubblegu - there are in there. Flavor of bananas, but not contrived - nice and natural. Extremely thick mouthfeel for a Hefe. Overall, an excellent Hefe - the North branch seems to be on the same high level as their original.

Appearance: Cloudy, golden body with a small, white head. Smell: Wheaty aroma with all of the accompanying notes of banana and spices. Taste: Malted wheat with a sharp tanginess but only a light sweetness. Strong flavors of banana, clove, and coriander. Spicy Noble hops, lightly bitter. Finishes dry with a lingering taste of toasted bananas. Mouthfeel: Medium-low body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Oh, it’s a hefe alright!

Tap @ 5 North. Poured a hazy yellow color with a large white head. Clove and light banana with a hint of lemon make up the aroma. The flavor was malty with banana and lemony wheat notes. Mild clove on the finish with a light body.

bigger body and more sweetness, the extra sweetness brings out more of the banana to balance the clove, even a bit more banana in the aroma creates the needed balance there, overall a very nice improvement over the original batch
