| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2003 Dark brown color with not much head but adequate lacing. Aroma is mild to non-existant (maybe it was the smoke in the bar), but what I could get was lightly roasted and nutty. The flavor is well balanced, nothing too complex or assertive, very easy to drink for such a nice malt profile. I usually like a nut brown to have just a touch of diactyl as it adds a little zest to the finish, this had next to none, so it was relying on the crystal malt for that edge. It didn't quite have what it takes to get the best of my top brown ales, but it is definately on the positive side with its medium body and easy drinking character. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Atlanta Georgia. Dennis, the owner, treated us royally. He kept bringing sample after sample to our table. We were given every courtesy and treated very well. Thanks to their fine staff. This brew poured a small head of off-white colored finely sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a excellent lace and a softly carbonated transparent medium orange brown colored body. It had a mild malt aroma and a smooth slightly tingly mouthfeel that finished with a very nice brown flavored tingle. It had a nice light brown beer flavor with mellow malty notes. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA

This beer had a small sized tan head with fine sized bubbles that quickly and completely dissipated. The body was softly carbonated and transparent with a red-brown hue. The nose was malty, caramel and lightly hoppy. The flavor was mildly hoppy with a fairly smooth and dry mouthfeel. This beer had a fair amount of lacing. ChainGangGuy (2616), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Appearance: Clear, brownish-amber body with a small, faintly beige-colored head. Lovely!
Smell: Earthy, toasted nut nose mainly, with lesser notes fo roasted malt and brown sugar. Spicy hop scent in back with a faint touch of grassiness to it.
Taste: Nutty dark caramel taste with hints of roast and brown sugar, though it’s never overly sweet. Earthy, lightly spicy hop character with a mild bitterness. Finishes a bit dry, and eventually with a bit more lingering bitterness as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A nice, enjoyable nut brown ale that’s good for a pint or two. aracauna (2423), Georgia, USA

Just a little hint of coffee supports a nice small chocolate nuts. There's just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. I also got a little bit of prune going on, but not in a bad way. I thought this was an excellent brown ale. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
