Jan 30, 2009 Appearance: Clear, brownish-amber body with a small, faintly beige-colored head. Lovely!
Smell: Earthy, toasted nut nose mainly, with lesser notes fo roasted malt and brown sugar. Spicy hop scent in back with a faint touch of grassiness to it.
Taste: Nutty dark caramel taste with hints of roast and brown sugar, though it’s never overly sweet. Earthy, lightly spicy hop character with a mild bitterness. Finishes a bit dry, and eventually with a bit more lingering bitterness as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A nice, enjoyable nut brown ale that’s good for a pint or two.

Oct 9, 2008 Clear, darkish brown with a creamy head. Aroma of dry cocoa and light pecan. Flavor is dry cocoa, caramel and pecan. Light-medium body is slightly tingly and finishes roasty-dry.

Jun 4, 2008 I really enjoy this beer. This is what I expect in a nut brown. This actually has a rich toffee maltiness, with all kind of nutty flavors throughout, mixed with some dry chocolate and cocoa flavors. Highly enjoyable.

Jan 16, 2005 A nice session ale here. I caught alot of sour notes in this which was not expected. This beer has a good nutty flavor. Another good one from 5 Sizzions!

Jan 15, 2005 Pours a very clear brownish-red with small tan head. Better carbonated than previous vintages. More hop aroma and flavor than other Nut Brown brews. Not too malty with caramel and nutty flavors. Not bad.

Dec 19, 2003 Draft at 5 Seasons. This beer had a small sized tan head with fine sized bubbles that quickly and completely dissipated. The body was softly carbonated and transparent with a red-brown hue. The nose was malty, caramel and lightly hoppy. The flavor was mildly hoppy with a fairly smooth and dry mouthfeel. This beer had a fair amount of lacing.
