Commercial Description:
Pilsener originated in what is now the Czech Republic. And, like true Czech Pilsners, ours is aggressively hopped early in the boil giving it a clean crispness without a hoppy flavor. It is brewed entirely with superior German Pilsen malt to give it a pale straw color, a thick, lasting rocky head and a palate dominated by maltiness. Fresh Czech Saaz hops provide a delicate spicy aroma. Phoenix Pils is named for the brewmaster's original brewery.

Had on tap at the brewpub. Pours a medium golden with a thin, but long lasting, slighlty creamy white head. Has a buttery aroma, pleasant. Flavor has some honey notes with some underlying bready maltiness. Slight saaz hoppines notes in the finish, which is clean and strong. Good accompaniment to the Salmon I had for dinner.

Tap. Pours clear, white head. Aroma is spicy. Some sulfur. Perfect malt character. Clean pils malt. Spicy hop. soapy finish. Very nice.

A decent, non-descript textbook example of a pilsner in a goodway. This is really well done, its really simple and really tasty for what it is. Very clean and crisp on the palate, with a fresh bread maltiness, smoothed out by some spicy bitter hop notes in the finish.

This is the best pilsner I have ever had! Pours a beautiful golden opaque amber so it looks like honey. Aroma is hoppy with some maltiness and a hint of lemon. Rich flavor has a nice balance of hops and malt, along with a lemony overtone. Aftertaste is very pleasant and smooth. Satisfying and refreshing, this is another winner from Five Seasons!

On tap at brewpup w/ kleyland. Poured a clear gold with not much head. Aroma was somewhat floral, caramel and spice. Flavor was about the same. Pretty good for the style
