This is kind of a non-descript, but easy to drink and sessionable Alt, nonetheless. Grainy and somewhat chewy malt background, spicy hops in the background, but has some sweet fruitiness throughout.

Tap. Poured cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of toasted grain and malt, some grass. Taste is really grained, toasted, lightly hopped. Not a bad brew. Mouth is pretty well carbonated and clean. Overall, a decent brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a small one-inch bubbly head that dissipates very quickly leaving a little bit of lacing. The aroma is dominated by toasted grains and some lightly toasted caramel malts. There is actually a little bit of light fruit in the nose, maybe pears. The taste has a hint of hops up front, slightly grassy, before giving way to the toasted grains and some caramel malts. Interestingly, it tastes a little bit like unsweetened tea when I think about it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The mouthfeel is extremely crisp and clean and fairly light bodied with good carbonation. I don’t have a lot of experience with this style, but this is extremely drinkable and a great balance of malts and hops.

Pours clear and orange/gold. Aroma is malty and grainy. Flavor is straight-forward with grainy malts, some cereal breadiness, and light esters. The finish is somewhat dry, balanced, and clean. Mouthfeel is moderately/briskly carbonated with medium body. Overall, a drinkable brew, but a little bit plain.
